The Rock & Roll Round Up™

Memorial Day Weekend 2002

(May 24th-27th)

Aerial of The Rock & Roll Round Up™ Event Premises

I thought the map was approximately 1"=114'sq., it was really 1"=1,500'sq.  Practically impossible to secure!  Our Volunteer Roadies including Bryce the Fireman chose to put the humongous stage where the Vendors were scheduled to go due to serious flooding concerns!  It flooded the day after we left and Bryce helped Chapman Excavation get the Porta-Pottie out of there in knee high water.  I heard from Mayor Perry and many others that the stage built out of donated Gold Digger Apple™ crates just up and started floating away.

THANK YOU GOD FOR HOLDING THE WATERS BACK UNTIL WE COULD BAIL!!!

Two views from The Stage!

Last Nerve earning "The Hottest Band" Award on the Left and a view of the Bands' Camping Area on the right.  If you were there then please send your best pix of the event and I'll post them!

Some of the real heroes of the show are Norm (l. photo at the far left in the white T-shirt, gray shorts and cap holding a beer) along with his wife Theresa (l. photo-in the gray sweatshirt sitting down)  These people were instrumental in getting local volunteers together pursuant to getting our stage bought, up and going... they also ran the only vendor service at the show!  On the Right starting at 12:00 HIGH heading clockwise-wearing the brown coat and standing tall is Ryan Northup-President of Metal Mayhem Music™ (you may find him in our Lynx section).  Then there is Yours Truly in black (and after 5 days ready to fall on his face).  Now, I'm pushing 6'3" , imagine how tall the Big Guy-Ryan is???  Back to the story, to your right in the yellow TuT shirt at about 4:30 is Randy Adsit-Bassist for TuT and last but not least, in the 9:00 position getting out of the truck is Chris "TuT"" Tuttle.

Ryan went out on the limb.  I could only afford to Fly-In Costa, The Monster Himself of Monster's World of Metal out of Montreal Canada as well as Ryan.  So, at his own expense Ryan flew in his family then drove over the mountains just to audition a few Bands.  We will NEVER forget Ryan and his family!  THANX FOR HAVING FAITH!

The show wouldn't have happened if it weren't for many TEAMS working in unison with one another.  Many locals gathered to help including but by no means limited to:  Betta's Services, Bryce and the many other guys who built the stage (and ole' ladies who supported them), Carter Excavation, Chuck Wilder, GOLD DIGGER APPLES for all the crates, Eric, Jim with the Trailer, Kenny, Louis & Tammy, Mary & Louis Cohen, Jay and Doug, Sherry and Roman, ALL of Okanogan County's Regulators, The City of Loomis, WA... it's Mayor Mr. Daryl Perry, Loomis-Fire District #10, Commissioner Dell and his staff, Oroville Building Supply.  And Special Thanx to Penny Dell, The Duran Diva and Nikki... the list just goes on & on!!!!
